This segment of Cross Talk features a wonderful interview with Fr. Dan Dubroy talking about the powerful practices of prayer and fasting. While prayer is more understood and generally practised, the practice of fasting is something that may be more misunderstood and under-utilized in our day. Fr. Dan does a wonderful job of explaining the underlying principles of fasting as well as the benefits and uses the story of the Cure d’Ars as an example. This segment is a deeply motivating interview that I am sure will help all of our viewers deepen in their practice of prayer, and perhaps consider the practice of ‘fasting’*.

I personally believe, and Fr. Dan references, the fact that prayer and fasting has great power to create change in our world – not only for ourselves, but for the myriad of intentions that you may personally have in your heart, and that the heart of the world also desperately needs. We are in times of great turmoil and upheaval, and the deepening of our spirituality through deepening practice of prayer and perhaps fasting are one way we can become more powerful agents for good in the world.

*It must be noted that with regard to fasting, should you wish to practice this in any way in the reduction of food etc., it is always advised to speak to your medical practitioner to determine what is best for your own personal situation. This segment is not intended at all to be medical advice for anyone in any way, and must be personally discerned with your individual Doctor with regard to your own personal health and circumstances.

Welcome to our exciting new series from The Deliverance Network, “Cross Talk”. This new series will be released occasionally – interspersed with other segments, and will feature a variety of interviews and information, book recommendations, prayer & scripture to help support you in your spiritual journey.

This first segment contains a wonderful interview with the sister of the late Exorcist, Rev. Joseph E. Kane, my personal spiritual director for ten years. Gemma’s experience and knowledge as the sister of Fr. Joe details his work and history as an exorcist, as well as information of the spiritual battle that we are all embroiled in, whether we know it or not. It also discusses the important topic of inner healing and how priests particularly, and Spiritual Directors, can aid in healing.

We hope this segment, which discusses many of the benefits of a priest Spiritual Director, as well as book resources, and a list of reasons to have a spiritual director, will be an inspiration and blessing for you in your spiritual journey!

This segment features a recent message from St. Michael the Archangel through Luz de Maria de Bonilla. In this urgent message, St. Michael urges us all to self-examination and true conversion. He refers to those who are blanched sepulchres, puffed up in their own human ego, as being deluded in arrogance and pride.

He also testifies to the truth that Satan is not an invention, but a true entity. It is an urgent warning I have testified to many times as well, so that all might know that we are each in a spiritual battle against forces unseen. St. Michael speaks of the fact that our discord is inspired by the devil, and actually an occasion for Satan to rejoice when he sees he is successful.

This message is an urgent call to cast off thoughts of revenge and resentment in order to strive for love of neighbour. St. Michael also warns that a time is coming in which we will see ourselves in truth through the Mercy of God, and I believe this is a direct reference to the coming, spoken of warning of the “Illumination of Conscience.” He speaks of severe and imminent events that will be allowed to aid in the purification of souls from the ‘gangrene’ with which they are infected.

Lastly, this segment is also a call to increase prayer out of love of neighbour, as, truly, those who need most to hear and heed this message are often the ones least likely to seek, find or hear it. This is where the power of our prayer aids in drawing souls into knowing that they must seek God, and helps souls become aware of the truth of the spiritual battle and the truth of the importance of preparing for eternal life – that ultimate destiny that begins at the end of our journey here on earth.
