This prayer is very simple and very powerful. This prayer is also for everyone and brings great blessings. I had not yet converted to Catholicism when I began to pray the Rosary. Make a spiritual investment in yourself that you will not regret and set aside a quiet half hour each day to pray this simple prayer. I know many fear praying the Rosary, feeling that it somehow gives undue attention to Mary. I see it very simply: Most people have had the experience of asking friends to pray for them when times are difficult. What greater friend could there be than a human so very close to Jesus – His mother? Mary will always lead you closer to Jesus and the Father. All that is needed is a desire to grow closer to God and good intentions. God will make up for anything you lack as the following dream excerpt will show:
February 14, 2001
“…I found myself on a street at a table because Mary, the Mother of God, had called me to a meeting. Mary and I were discussing many things, but the only thing I remember is the last thing I asked her, which was “Is it okay to say my Rosary while doing other things?” She said “Yes, but you do tend to rush a bit. It would be better if you slowed and concentrated on the mysteries a bit more.” (I have to interject here to say that I cannot convey just how gracious she is and how what she said was such a gentle understatement of the truth. I initially used to speed-say the Rosary, because I wasn’t yet Catholic and I did not even know you were supposed to contemplate the mysteries! I was teaching myself as I went).
