Great to find this website. I’ve been trying to locate Father Joe Kane for the past two years. We are dear friends and have worked together in Peru for 20 years. How is his health? I would love to contact him again.

Is Fr. Kane still alive? I went on a retreat with him in the ’80’s. He was a wonderful human being.

Yes Fr. Kane is still alive and living in a long term care retirement residence. Unfortunately his memory is quite bad due to dementia etc., so he doesn’t remember people, but if you are in Ottawa I know he would welcome visitors. His gentle spirit is still the same! Sa mémoire défaillante ne change pas mon désir de passer un moment avec lui… J’ai mémoire vive du privilège que j’ai reçu de le connaître et sa prière a éclairé ma vie. Cela sera un grand cadeau pour moi !
